What we collect
Email addresses — only if you sign up for the Signal newsletter. That's it.
Where it's stored
Email addresses from the Signal signup are stored on Maxwell's own hardware. Not on a third-party email service. Not on a cloud platform. On a machine in a house, running the same Macksie software this site describes.
What we don't do
- No third-party analytics
- No tracking pixels
- No cookies
- No ad networks
- No selling data
- No sharing with partners
Unsubscribing
You can unsubscribe from the Signal at any time. Your email address will be removed from the list.
Personal node domains
Domains like maxwell.macksie.com and scarlett.macksie.com are served by their owner's Macksie node — not by macksie.com. This site does not proxy, cache, or store personal node content. When you visit a personal node domain, you are communicating directly with that person's machine.
The protocol itself
Macksie's Kin protocol is designed so that privacy is a mathematical property, not a policy promise. Your data is encrypted before it leaves your machine. Fragments are replicated to trusted devices that can store them but cannot read them. Access is granted and revoked through cryptographic signatures — not through a settings page that a company might change tomorrow.
